#TBB445- Silverplate over Brass Shell Serving Piece - This older shell serving dish had a silverplate finish when it was new, but with polishing over the years it had started to wear off letting the brass base metal show thru, so, we did our thing to it. We polished the piece, keeping as much of the silverplate as possible on the three shell dishes. The silver with brass accents, makes for a very striking look!! The handle is quite decorative and is finished with a bright pewter look. The dish was then sealed to preserve the finish.
